3rd Visit

Field Notebook:
3rd Visit:

On Wednesday, October 24, I visited my research land. The length of day was 10 hours and 37 minutes. It was a warm day for fall, around 71º. It was a grayish blue skies with a strong wind that was picking up the newly fallen leaves. The trees were barren, with a few orange or yellow leaves hanging on or newly ripened berries budding. As I was doing my experiment, I heard a duck and there were many gnats flying around over the water. The river was flowing fairly aggressively and was 64.4º.

2nd Visit

Field Notebook:
2nd Visit:

I visited my research land at around 6:30, October 3, 2012. October 3 was about 11 hours and 36 minutes long.  It was 65º out, with very heavy clouds over head. It had rained earlier in the day, so the ground was wet. I heard many birds such as crows, ducks, and an unknown bird with a peculiar call. There were many gnats flying around in clouds. The trees' leaves color was even more vibrant.
