Field Notebook:
Visit 4:
It was a cold, wet day on October 31. Drizzling on and off all day at about 49º, with a day length of 10 hours and 40 minutes. My land was damp, and the creek was rushing fairly quickly. A buck was standing in the creek, but ran off when I approached. I did not see any other signs of wildlife, but I did hear some rustlings. The leaves were about 90% all off of the trees, but red berries had grown in clumps. The water was a chilly 53º.
