I have concluded that my hypothesis is not supported by my data. I hypothesized that the pH levels would decrease as the temperature decreased as well. My data shows that the temperature of the water did not affect the pH levels. My data shows that the litmus paper test would be between 7 and 6 every test. The average pH level is between 6.3 and 6.5 every time. My graph shows a steady line that does not fluctuate much at all. If I had done this experiment again, I would have checked throughout the entire year, not just fall, so that the temperature could have varied more. Also, I would have dried my litmus paper in the same spot after every test. I would also pick more then one spot in the river to test.
